Covert Eye Technologies Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Cautio") values your concerns in regard to data protection and privacy. Cautio is dedicated to delivering products and services of the highest standard, on a best-effort basis in accordance with industry norms. We, at Cautio, value each of our existing or prospective clients or end users ("you/your/yours") and aim at maintaining appropriate protection of your personal data and other information accessed or collected through Cautio's Devices and Services (collectively and independently referred to as "Data", as the context may so require) that we need to effectively render and improve our services. This privacy policy describes (i) the types of Data we may obtain about you and other individuals identified below; (ii) how we may use the Data; (iii) with whom we share it; (iv) the rights available regarding our use of the Data; (v) the steps taken to safeguard the Data and how you can contact us about any query in regard to your Data. Unless stated otherwise, this privacy policy applies (directly or indirectly) to all of Cautio's devices, services, externally facing applications, websites, and recruitment activities. This privacy policy was previously updated on 11 October 2023 and is deemed to be effective as of 30 September 2025 and is subject to be updated to reflect any changes to the manner in which we manage the Data or to incorporate changes in applicable laws.

1. What Information does Cautio collect?

We may obtain various categories of Data about you including Personal Data (i.e. Data that can be Processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying an individual or limited to developing or tailoring our services to you or communication of our products to you, direct marketing and/or recruitment purposes). It is strictly collected in adherence to the fair practice guidelines under the Privacy Laws. However, Personal Data does not include data that has been anonymized, encrypted or pseudonymized. Cautio's clients may share categories of Data about you as may be required to properly perform and administer the Services. The specific types of Personal Data received by Cautio states that Data may be required to prepare proposals, quotations, installation, Cautio's devices and services/consultancy/monitoring services. Your fleet/entity may be called to take instance when any queries are received from enforcement agencies or regulators having legal obligations (collectively referred to herein as "Authorized Third Parties"). In the event of your employment with Cautio or receipt of an offer of employment, Data consisting of your resume, professional and educational qualifications, identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.) may need to be shared or specialized information (police consent notification form) have to be captured for your entry into our devices and/or services. For a specific project or routine monitoring or sharing vehicle/or audio content will services other individuals, such as the passengers, other fleet employees, other authorized entities (like clients, delivery boys, transporters, etc.) which you may have contact with at the time of Data collection or subsequently. For the purpose of this policy "Processing" / "Process" shall mean and include in relation to Data, a variety of partly or wholly automated operations such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

2. What Data does Cautio collect by automated means?

When you access Cautio's website or third-party Cautio applications or services, mobile apps, or connect to or access our automated technologies, including but not limited to cookies and pixels, or other pixels or similar tags, these technologies may be employed to enhance user experience, facilitate authentication, address promoter information, enable social media features and adapt to the audience and measure the effectiveness of our services.

3. Why does Cautio collect Data?

  • We Process Data for purposes iterated in this policy. The Data including but not limited to client's name, phone number, email ID, organization name, etc. are Processed to create user accounts wherein our clients can access relevant Data in regard to their fleet.
  • We collect Data from our products and integrated services to support the administration of fleet activities, ensure safety, and improve operational efficiency. This Data may also be shared in anonymized and aggregated form with authorized third parties, trusted partners and affiliates for purposes such as enhancing geospatial intelligence, improving traffic and mobility solutions, and enabling data-driven research in the transportation sector. Such data sharing is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws, with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure that individual privacy is not compromised.

4. How does Cautio use the collect Data?

We may use the Data collected to:

  • Provide our product and services to you.
  • Create and manage your account(s) and profile.
  • Personalize your experience with our devices and services.
  • Administer fleet activities in real time.
  • Generate actionable reports and alerts.
  • Enhance Al-driven features for the security and safety of the fleet.
  • Facilitate operational efficiency.
  • Correspond with you (including intimating you with offers and other updates about our devices and services) and provide customer support.
  • Perform analytics (including market and consumer research, trend analysis, financial analysis, and anonymization of Data).
  • Administrate career opportunities; including for candidate recruitment and human resource purposes.
  • Comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards and policies, including this privacy policy and any applicable terms of service.
  • We may utilize data collected through its devices and platform for analytical and developmental purposes. We also may use the Data we obtain about you in other ways for which we may provide specific notice at the time of collection and obtain your consent, if required by applicable law.

5. Who is granted access to the Data?

Cautio does not sell or otherwise divulge your Data, except as provided for in this privacy policy. Your contact information, phone number, email ID and organisation name are gathered by Cautio's sales or business team and shared merely with the tech team responsible for your account/profile creation. Access from the video telematics devices annexed to the client's fleet, can be viewed by (i) you and (ii) our engineering and support team. We may utilize the Data, in aggregated and/or anonymized form, to enhance our services, support industry research, academic and research purposes, and contribute to broader developments and improvements across related sectors. This may involve collaboration with authorised third parties, trusted partners and affiliates in ways that align with industry best practices and standards.

Prior to any dissemination pursuant to any collaboration stated hereinabove, Cautio will try to ensure that the Data is anonymized and does not contain any identifiers traceable to a specific individual, vehicle, or business.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Cautio reserves the right to transfer or share any Data, in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution, bankruptcy or liquidation) or as authorized by law.

6. How does Cautio store the Data?

The Data obtained through our products and services is stored securely on cloud servers which are hosted in data centres complying with industry security standard measures and protocols.

7. How does Cautio protect the Data?

Cautio maintains administrative and technical safeguards envisaged to protect Data against unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. Data is encrypted in the servers and accessible through authorised channels, including our web or mobile applications and client-side APIs. Content captured by the products are shared or accessed via our platform with you, for the mutually agreed upon duration. Content captured by the products are stored securely within the latter in a format that is readable solely by the firmware. Strict administrative guidelines, rules and channels are created to facilitate authentication of access requests.

8. What are the choices available to you, in regard to the Data?

Cautio offers you certain choices in connection with the Data we obtain about you. To update your preferences, limit the communications you receive from us, or submit a request, please refer to the ‘How to contact us?’ section of this privacy policy.

  • You can request for completion of the Data.
  • You can request for updation of the Data.
  • You can request for correction of the Data.
  • You can request for deletion of any part or the entirety of the Data by contacting Cautio; or
  • You can request for access of any specific Data, pursuant to conclusive agreements and/or order forms executed between Cautio and you.
